Cannes reaches out to local marketing community

The Cannes Lions 59th International Festival of Creativity will be held between the 17th to 23th of June 2012. The Cannes Lions trophies are the most prestigious awards in the worldwide creative communications industry. During the week-long Festival, tens of thousands of entries (more than 28,000 in 2011) from all over the world are showcased, judged and, if deemed worthy, rewarded with the coveted Cannes Lions.

The Festival includes awards for Film, Press, Outdoor, Direct, Media, Cyber, Radio, Promo & Activation, Film Craft, Titanium and Integrated, Design, PR and Creative Effectiveness. There is also a range of special awards, including Advertiser of the Year (which was awarded this year to IKEA).

The Festival has now partnered with WFA to increase its scope by involving more companies at national levels in the activities. WFA offers the opportunity to national associations in all member countries to reach out to local corporate members and encourage them to get involved in the week long activities, which include galas, award ceremonies, seminars and workshops. The festival could provide your clients with an opportunity to meet with peers, host their own events and engage with the industry's most innovative thinkers.
