Ed McDonald to leave Irish Association

Ed McDonald will be stepping down as CEO of the Irish Advertiser Association (AAI) at the end of June 2013. Ed, who joined the AAI in 2008, was previously director at the Central Copy Clearance Ireland and chief executive at the Marketing Institute of Ireland. He spent 17 years with the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) and was a special advisor to the Minister of Food.

Recently, Ed served as a director at the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland (ASAI). He has also worked with other industry bodies to challenge restrictions put on food and drink advertising by Irish and wider European governmental authorities.
