Heineken and MasterCard execs to lead WFA's MEDIAFORUM

Benjamin Jankowski from MasterCard and Tom Gill from Heineken have been named as the new co-chairs of the World Federation of Advertisers' new MEDIAFORUM.

Together they will lead the global expansion of the group – the former WFA Media Committee – which as well as holding meetings in Europe and the US will also be convening in Shanghai for the first time in May 2013.

Benjamin and Tom are committed to working together alongside the WFA team to identify and tackle common challenges, including understanding return on media investment, digital media management, media innovation , effective agency management and remuneration, media auditing and transparency issues.

Benjamin is Group Head, Global Media at MasterCard responsible for managing the company's investment in marketing communications, alongside local, regional and global marketing teams. He also has extensive agency experience having previously worked at Omnicom, WPP and Havas.

Tom is Global Media Director at Heineken and led its recent global media pitch. Now based in the Netherlands, he joined the company when it acquired Scottish & Newcastle, where he was head of Marketing Communications. He started his career at Unilever and has also spent 16 years working at full service agencies in the UK.
