Russians sign reinforced food marketing pledge

The Russian Advertiser Association (RAA) has brought together its member companies to sign the Russian Pledge 2.0, which builds on a previous commitment signed in October 2009, which commits signatories to only advertise “better for you” products to children under 12 years.

The reinforced commitments reflect the global food industry's extension of their commitments which come into force in by the end of this year. Under the strengthened rules, more programmes will be subject to the rules as well as company-owned websites. The Russian Pledge will be signed on November 12th 2012.
