PAS Awards marketing effectiveness award rebranded as Effie Awards Pakistan
On 15 December, the Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) announced its partnership with Effie Worldwide. PAS Awards, which is one of the most prestigious marketing effectiveness awards in Pakistan, will join the global Effie network as its 52nd national programme and will be rebranded as Effie Awards Pakistan.
“Bringing Effie awards to Pakistan is a proud moment, not only for PAS but for the entire industry as we all share its mission. With growing business pressures, measurement of marketing effectiveness is now imperative for all marketers. Also, from an industry perspective, Effie will not only help us further raise the standard of marketing communication in Pakistan but will give us an opportunity to showcase our outstanding work globally”, said PAS Chairman Saqib Zia.
Effie Pakistan is open to all marketing campaigns that ran in Pakistan between July 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018. Participants are required to demonstrate excellence in four key areas: definition of objectives, strategic development, creative execution, and measurement of results.
The submitted campaigns will be evaluated by a jury composed of renowned professionals and experts in the field of marketing, advertising, academia, creative, media and research in Pakistan.
The first deadline for entries for the inaugural edition is January 31, 2019. The awards gala will take place in May 2019. Aside from the awards, the 2019 finalists and winners will be recognised in the Effie Effectiveness Index, a comprehensive global ranking of marketing effectiveness which identifies and ranks the most effective marketers, agencies and brands by analysing finalist and winner data from all Effie competitions worldwide.
