SZZV assumes leadership of merged associations
The Slovak Association for Branded Products (SZZV) announced that it has merged with the Slovak Industrial Coalition on Packaging and the Environment (SLICPEN), with SZZV assuming the leadership and activities of the merged associations.
Both associations have long shared not only common members and values, but also worked closely together in different initiatives. Under the terms of the merger agreement, SZZV is now a member of the European Organization for Packaging and the Environment (EUROPEN).
Commenting on the merger, SZZV’s newly-elected chairman Martin Mittner, Country Manager of Nestlé Slovakia, said: “Merging SZZV and SLICPEN is the biggest milestone in the history of both associations. In the framework of SZZV, we will continue SLICPEN’s activities and be the professional voice of environmentally responsible businesses in negotiations with government, industry and the general public”.
SZZV Executive Director Ľubomír Tuchscher said: “We want to provide our current and future members with comprehensive services in the area of protecting their interests on the Slovak market. By bringing the activities of SZZV and SLICPEN members under one roof, they will achieve greater efficiency”.
