The Dutch Advertisers Association (BVA) has named Henriette van Swinderen as managing director. She takes over from Cees Polman who was the interim director following Olaf Croon’s departure in September 2017.

Henriette is a marketing expert, having held various senior marketing and communication positions at Procter & Gamble Benelux and T-Mobile Netherlands, and is a former board member of BVA. Prior to her new role in BVA, she was Marketing Director at hearing aid provider Schoonenberg.
Commenting on her appointment, Henriette said: "After having been a marketer for many years, it will be a challenge to tackle the big issues that are affecting the whole industry, on behalf of advertisers… This will require joint industry solutions which BVA wants to give shape to along with other stakeholders. I am very much looking forward to getting started!"
